MUMs Phils. & The Wedding Entourage

The Wedding Entourage started in 2009 as a fun shoot among a group of photographers, hair and make-up artists (HMUA) and models frequenting  Ninoy Aquino Parks and Wildlife, in Quezon City to express their passion every weekend.  It was formally launched at an event in 2012, where  parents accompanying their children are given free basic make-up workshop by the hair and  make-up artists, while their children and participating models enjoy photo shooting in  gowns and night dresses with the participating photographers, who are advocating for responsible imaging and uploading f images in the social media.

Many of the children and models who attended this yearly event later became professional models, some turned actors and actresses appearing in television shows and in indie films. Among them, Johanah Basanta, Loricel Aycardo, Twinkle Wenceslao and Chona De Ubago Montenar.  Jeffty Canoy Bulanon who was its original HMUA became one of the most awarded HMUA in the country and recognized as among the best HMUA in Asia-Pacific.  Donabel Palmes Virtucio, independent sales director of  Mary Kay (MK) became one of the top ten beauty consultant of MK.  She has already been awarded a trip to the United States by Mary Kay. Later, Make-Up Madness Philippines, a group of hair and make-up artists founded by Jeanette Guasque Wen , a trainer in cosmetic arts, joined this yearly event in 2016 as its official make-up artists.  Jeanette G. Wen  is now internationally recognized as hair and make-up artist trainer. She has been invited to train make-up artists in Hongkong and the Middle East.  Among the photographers who regularly participate in the event are: Lito Caleon, of FABS Manila, Alexander Lohongko, Jerry Pagkaliwagan. Morrie Lorena Jr., Nestor De Castro, Noel Punzalan and many more.

Today, the participants of Wedding Entourage continues the advocacy behind the event with Pilipinas Ngayon Na Production as its mother production outfit.  With its original sponsors continuing to support the advocacy, namely: Ogie Almonina of RCA Digitec Incorporation, a Photostore in Hidalgo, Quiapo, Manila; Independent Sales Director of Mary Kay, Donabel Virtucio; Jeanette  Guasque Wen, founder of MUMS Phils., Int’l.; and, now, Usec Robert T.
